Some stores in Ballston Quarter could open this week. While some construction is still underway, the first floor with street access and the second floor are slated to be open to the public starting Thursday, Nov. 15, according to signs around the development’s elevators. Other areas, including the new food hall, aren’t scheduled to be open until 2019.

Fredericksburg has finalized the plan to develop a $35 million stadium for the Potomac Nationals. The stadium will be built near the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center, with the goal of having it ready for opening day 2020.

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital has been participating in a MediMap pilot program that uses genetic testing to customize patients’ medication and minimize side effects of surgery. The pilot program will end in December, but the hospital is hoping to expand the program next year.
