Alexandria to begin pilot program for dockless scooters; Double homicide reported in Fauquier County

Northern Virginia’s daily dose of local and national news for Monday, Nov. 12.

Alexandria will be following in Arlington’s footsteps and begin allowing dockless bike-share and scooters with a new pilot program that will begin this month. Alexandria City Council will make a presentation of the planned nine-month pilot program Tuesday, with official rules expected to be finalized next fall if Virginia’s General Assembly does not intervene.
