Round Hill bringing in outside help to assist with data breach; Potomac Nationals stadium on agenda for Fredericksburg hearing

After suffering a data breach last week, Round Hill is looking to bring in an independent technology consultant to recover data and conduct an investigation. The full extent of the data breach is not yet known, but the town administrator says that utility billing files and finance records are safe.

Hearings are scheduled Tuesday evening to discuss the proposed Potomac Nationals stadium in Fredericksburg. Issues that will be discussed include changes to the city’s comprehensive land-use plan, realignment of the right of way in Celebrate Virginia South and a special-use permit for the stadium.

Crystal City is getting an Alamo Drafthouse theater as part a redevelopment of its central business district. The Arlington County Board approved the first phases of JBG Smith’s Crystal Square project, which will also include 100,000 square feet of retail, a new east entrance to the Crystal City Metro, a public park and renovation of an existing building for office space.

A new festival will take place this Saturday at Lake Anne Plaza in Reston. The harvest festival will feature live music, wine, beer, treats and offer holiday tips and fall-related products from a number of different vendors at Lake Anne Plaza.

Self-driving cars are coming to the Metro-D.C. area, as Ford has announced a deal that will see autonomous vehicles begin to arrive in 2019. The goal will be to have autonomous vehicles go out into the city with safety drivers to map out the city and improve how the cars react on public streets.
