Tuition at VA colleges, universities and student debt on the rise; Amazon’s Prime membership to cost $119, up from $99

On average, last year’s graduates from Virginia’s colleges and universities had acquired approximately $30,000 in student loan debt. Despite this, Virginia Tech, the College of William & Mary, the University of Virginia and Virginia Commonwealth University continue to raise tuition and mandatory fees.

Starting on May 11, anyone wishing to purchase an Amazon Prime membership will have to pay $119, and for those with existing memberships, the new fee will be charged to those renewing their memberships after June 16.
