Two men warn woman of flat tire on Dumfries Road, then pull a gun on her; Reston Association’s acting CEO also resigns

At 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, a woman driving on Dumfries Road near the Hoadly Road intersection pulled over after two men flagged her down claiming that she had a flat tire. After she pulled over, the men got out of their car, pointed a handgun at her, but did not demand any property or make physical contact.

In February, former Reston Association CEO Cate Fulkerson resigned, at which time CFO Robert Wood stepped up to serve as acting CEO. Wood will now resign from both positions as he is taking a job at a nonprofit in Washington, D.C.
