$25 million grant to add another road to Dulles Airport; Chef Geoff owner files lawsuit over happy hour advertising restrictions

The Northstar Boulevard project, which will add a 1.5-mile road connected to Dulles International Airport, has been given a $25 million federal grant. Loudoun County Supervisor Matt Letourneau believes that project will not be complete until after the year 2020.

The owner of the Tysons restaurant Chef Geoff has filed a lawsuit claiming that Virginia’s restrictions on how businesses can advertise their happy hours—currently, restaurants cannot list specific discounts and prices—is a violation of his First Amendment right that is limiting his potential economic prosperity.

Joanne Boyle, the head coach of the University of Virginia’s women’s basketball team, has announced her retirement given that she, to finalize the adoption, must take her 6-year-old daughter back to Senegal. Boyle does not know how long she and her daughter must stay there before they are allowed to return to the United States.
