11-year-old Naomi Wadler, a fifth-grader at Alexandria’s George Mason Elementary School, gave a brief, three minute speech at Saturday’s March for Our Lives rally focused on black women, whom Wadler believes are underrepresented gun violence victims. Wadler’s speech has gained national attention from celebrities that include Lupita Nyong’o, an actress, and Eddie Griffin, a comedian.

An individual who received a dental procedure from an unlicensed dentist in West Falls Church has developed a life-threatening blood-borne infection, and though Fairfax County health officials are still attempting to determine if the procedure led to the infection, they are taking this time to tell residents that have done the same to get tested for hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV, and to advise individuals against seeking assistance from dentists that are not licensed.
