Leesburg Town Council will seek legal action against hate groups; State Senate passes bill allowing Virginia distillers to keep more money

Tuesday night, in response to the recent uptick in KKK flyers being found around Loudoun County, the Leesburg Town Council passed a resolution allowing them to seek legal action against Leesburg hate groups.

Currently, before Virginia distillers can let visitors sample their liquor, they must sell the liquor to the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority and then buy it back before they can serve it. Now that the state Senate voted 23-16 to pass Senate Bill 803, state distilleries may be able to keep more of their money. The bill is now being reviewed by the House Appropriations Committee.
