House of Delegates approves ‘Kings Dominion Law’ repeal; Loudoun considered one of the state’s fastest growing counties

Tuesday, the Virginia House of Delegates voted to grant local school boards the power to choose whether classes begin before or after Labor Day, so long as students have a five-day Labor Day weekend. The repeal of the Kings Dominion Law will go before the Senate by March 10.

According to a University of Virginia survey, Loudoun County is one of the fastest growing counties in the state, having acquired another 84,000 residents since 2010 and coming in at a total population of 396,068.
