Wednesday morning, a ceremony will be held to dedicate a portion of Charlottesville’s 4th Street to Heather Heyer, the young woman who was struck and killed while protesting the Aug. 12 white nationalist rally. Heyer’s mother, Susan Bro, will speak. James Alex Fields Jr., the 20-year-old driver of the car that killed Heyer, has been charged with murder.

Alexandria Pastor Terry Wayne Millender and his wife Brenda have been convicted of using the Victorious Life Church—where Millender was a senior pastor—congregation to fraudulently acquire over $2 million. They each face up to 20 years in prison.

Alexia Glancey, 11, of Leesburg has assembled 263 bags of travel-sized hygiene products for the homeless. She started raising money to purchase the small toiletries by doing chores, and was then able to acquire more products with help from relatives, friends, neighbors and students/staff from Sycolin Creek and Leesburg Elementary schools.
