Akayed Ullah, a 27-year-old immigrant from Bangladesh, strapped a pipe bomb to himself and detonated the device in a Manhattan subway on Monday morning. Ullah, who said that he was inspired by ISIS propaganda, burned and cut his hands and abdomen. Three commuters went to the hospital with headaches and ringing in their ears, but were otherwise unharmed.

After allowing Uber and Lyft to transport airport passengers in 2015, Washington Flyer cab use has significantly dropped. Wednesday, the Airports Authority will vote on a new Washington Flyer contract that would potentially cut the number of cabs serving Dulles Airport to 600.
