At 83 years old, Charles Manson, the cult leader who convinced his followers to embark on a 1969 two-night, murderous Los Angeles rampage, died Sunday at a Kern County, California, hospital. Manson’s cause of death has not yet been revealed, though he suffered from gastrointestinal bleeding in January.

The suspects tell homeowners that they are there to take measurements, offer an estimate and ask for a materials deposit. At least 10 individuals have encountered this act, some paying for services that they will never receive.
