While there are certainly pros to having Amazon’s second headquarters come to Loudoun County, some of the more negative effects (evidenced by the company’s sprawling Seattle headquarters) include rising rent prices, property taxes, limited office space for neighboring businesses and construction. In Seattle, rent has risen 57 percent in the last six years and property tax has risen 35 percent in the last four years.
