A Catholic priest for the Diocese of Arlington is taking a leave of absence from his position at his Fairfax parish after writing a column for the Arlington Catholic Herald about his past affiliation with the Ku Klux Klan. It’s been 40 years since Father William Aitcheson left the KKK, but the fatal white supremacist rally in Charlottesville prompted him to write the column and temporarily step down.
