New Brewery
Chantilly is getting a brewery with the opening of Mustang Sally Brewing Company this month. Founded by Sean Hunt, a former tech startup man, the new 14,000-square-foot brewery houses a 30-barrel brew house overseen by head brewer Bret Kimbrough, formerly of Vintage 50, and a tasting room. /
Lounge for the High Skies
Bey Lounge, a lounge and hookah and cigar bar in Tysons with interior decor influences lifted from the Beirut Airport, opened in November at 303 Mill St., Vienna. The evening and late-night crowd—it’s open Monday-Wednesday 5 p.m.-12:30 a.m. and Thursday-Sunday 5 p.m.-2 a.m.—can enjoy white leather couches nestled in the dark corners or sip on specialty cocktails from mixologist Adam Kassrawi and nibble on food creations from Chef Ramzy. /
Art Center Coming to Herndon
The town is seeking proposals to turn a little over 4.5 acres of land in Historic Herndon into an 18,000-square-foot arts center along with a four-story mixed-use/residential building, a three-story mixed-use/commercial building and a public/private parking structure. The area is bordered by Station Street to the east, Center Street to the west, the W&OD Trail to the north and Elden Street to the south. Proposals are due this month with the expectation of a contract being awarded by the end of the year. /
