On shelves Aug. 4
Observe the daily affairs of a nondescript city apartment complex through the eyes of Ian, a goldfish free falling from the 27th floor. Bradley Somer’s quirky second novel explores the importance of adventure, human camaraderie and a good laugh.

In theaters Aug. 7
Expect more dark twists from Gillian Flynn’s second film adaptation. Libby Day (Charlize Theron) encounters a fan club obsessed with her family’s murder, which forces her to dig up secrets from the past. Director Gilles Paquet-Brenner is sure not to disappoint.

‘Documentary Now!’
On the tube Aug. 20
Fred Armisen, Bill Hader and Seth Meyers give their take on history in this six-episode comedy series. The mockumentaries will appear on IFC and will present historical events, from drug cartel exposés to Al Capone festivals, with a refreshing dose of humor.
