Reston Penthouse Sells for Record-Breaking $10.25M

A Reston condo sale is turning heads. A penthouse on the 27th floor of the new JW Marriott Residences has broken the record for the most expensive condo sale in Virginia. It sold for a whopping $10.25 million.

The previous condo record was a unit at Rosslyn’s Waterview tower that sold in 2024 for $5.65 million, Washington Business Journal reported.

The JW Marriott Residences include 93 units on the 14th through 25th floors of the JW Marriott Reston Station. The condos offer hotel-style amenities including 24/7 concierge and valet service, a clubroom with entertaining lounges, a rooftop dog park, and a private gym and parking garage. Owners also receive VIP status and additional amenities at Marriott hotels and resorts worldwide.

The residences were completed in 2025 and were designed with two penthouses on the 26th, 27th, and 28th floors. The buyer of the $10.25 million condo combined the two spaces into one that measures 5,768 square feet. The unit also has more than 2,000 square feet of outdoor balcony space.

An affiliate of Comstock Holdings Cos. Inc. closed the deal on April 1. The same buyer also bought a condo on the 24th floor for $1.5 million, WBJ reported.

Chris Masters and Matt Cummings of McWilliams Ballard are leading sales at the JW Marriott Residences for Comstock. McWilliams Ballard is also listing units at the Marriott’s Ritz-Carlton Residences, Tysons. Developer Renaissance Centro announced plans for the 102-unit luxury condos last October. The new stand-alone residential building will be adjacent to the Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner hotel and Tysons Galleria.
