From McLean mansions to a 122-year-old estate to penthouse views of Arlington, there are plenty of big deals that went down in the residential real estate market this past month. Take a look through the 10 most expensive homes sold in Northern Virginia in August, according to Homes.com.

$5.5 million: 7681 Ballestrade Ct., McLean
