The Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington named Rose Previte, co-founder of the No White Plates collective and owner of the Kirby Club in Fairfax and two DC restaurants, Restaurateur of the Year during its 41st annual RAMMY Awards Sunday night.
The awards honor the accomplishments of the restaurant and foodservice industry in the DC metro area.
Kirby Club, which recently participated in Northern Virginia Magazine‘s Taste of NoVA, serves festive Lebanese food. Rose Previte also owns Compass Rose and Michelin-starred Maydan, both of which are in DC. The aim of No White Plates is to showcase the stories behind food that’s created.
Two other Northern Virginia restaurants received 2023 Honorary Milestone RAMMY Awards. The association recognized Artie’s in Fairfax for being in business 45 years and the now closed Four Sisters restaurant in the Mosaic District for 30 years. Artie’s is a modern American eatery that’s part of the Great American Restaurants group, and Four Sisters was a Vietnamese restaurant that originally opened in the Eden Center in 1993.
