We’ve seen plenty of food hybrids garner popularity over the last few years – like the cronut or cruffin. Now, the crookie is amassing a following across the world. Created by Stéphane Louvard back in 2022, the crookie has since found fame on TikTok. Now, you can grab the sweet and savory treat in Northern Virginia. Stop by these four NoVA bakeries to try the viral creation. 

Junction Bistro, Bar & Bakery

Don’t miss out on this sweet treat. The bakery’s Twice Baked Cookie Croissant is made with a flaky croissant and filled with cookie dough. Once baked, the pastry is topped with Chantilly cream and cookie bits. Only available on Saturdays and Sundays at the Alexandria location, Executive Pastry Chef Gianpier Flores Pineda said this is currently a limited-time item, with the possibility to become a regular weekend item. 1508 Mount Vernon Ave., Alexandria

The French bakery has added the crookie as its weekend special. The fresh croissant is stuffed and topped with cookie dough, creating the ultimate sweet and salty snack. There is a limit of two pastries per person. 12644 Chapel Rd., Clifton 

Roggenart 

The European bakery has the viral crookie at its newly opened Arlington location. Topped with powdered sugar, the buttery sweet combo will have your tastebuds thanking you. The crookie is also available at the bakery’s Maryland locations. 4401 Wilson Blvd., Ste. 103, Arlington
