Starr Hill Brewery Announces Capital One Center Expansion

The Starr Hill Brewpub is set to open early 2024 in the growing Tysons Corner development.

Starr Hill Brewery is expanding its Tysons footprint with plans to open Starr Hill Brewpub in early 2024 on the street level of the Capital One Center. The Crozet-based company currently operates the popular Starr Hill Biergarten on a building rooftop inside the development.

At 7,572 square feet, the Brewpub will offer a two-level dining space with more than 225 seats, along with an outdoor patio. Two bars will feature over 20 beers on tap, along with an expansive menu of cocktails, ciders, and wines. The Brewpub will also serve a variety of “Americana-inspired” food.

“We are incredibly excited to announce the addition of our new Brewpub at Capital One Center,” said Josh Cromwell, Starr Hill Brewery’s vice president of commercial operations, in a press release. “This expansion represents our commitment to providing an exceptional entertainment experience, complementing the amazing atmosphere that Biergarten has developed in the past 2 years. We are excited to continue showcasing our fantastic beers, food and entertainment at a premier destination in Tysons.”

Starr Hill opened its 5,000-square-foot Starr Hill Biergarten at Capital One Center in August 2021. The Biergarten, which is a Northern Virginia Magazine Best of NoVA winner for 2023, is located at The Perch, a 2.5-acre rooftop park, which also includes food trucks, mini golf, a dog park, and an amphitheater. This July, executive chef Steve Winterling will join the Biergarten staff to update its food menu.

In addition to the Brewpub, Capital One Center plans to expand its street-level retail with four new restaurants, including Stellina Pizzeria, the Tex-Mex concept Ometeo, Sisters Thai, and the contemporary American concept Ox & Rye. With these developments, Capital One Center will have more than 250,000 square feet of retail space.
