bartaco opens today in Ballston Quarter

The restaurant is serving only takeout and delivery for now.

By Alice Levitt January 13, 2021 at 6:55 am

Want to eat tacos in the Arlington area? bartaco, which won the editor’s pick for most craveable tacos in our Best of NoVA 2020, is opening its latest location today in Ballston Quarter. With Reston and Mosaic District stores, the Ballston location is the third in Virginia for the independent chain.

For now, the Ballston Quarter store will serve only takeout and delivery meals. Dine-in will open to guests in the spring. Diners not familiar with the Latin American beach-inspired bartaco’s will find a varied menu that ranges from meaty glazed pork belly to tzatziki-topped falafel tacos. Not everything is a taco. Other favorites include guacamole and both red and green salsas ready for dipping.

For group takeout, taco packs may be the best bet. The travel-friendly containers include proteins ready to reheat, along with tortillas, sauces and toppings, all primed to be assembled into four or eight tacos, depending on the size of the pack. There are also drink kits that allow taco fans to enjoy margaritas in the comfort of home. // 4238 Wilson Blvd., Arlington
