Always dreamed of having a backstage pass to one of the region’s best restaurants? The Inn at Little Washington: A Delicious Documentary is now streaming free on Amazon Prime Video.
The 54-minute-long doc first aired on PBS, but for those who missed it or want to see it again, it’s now easier than ever. If you’ve had the luck to sample one of the restaurant’s luxurious tasting menus, you’ll understand why the Inn at Little Washington has three Michelin stars. If you haven’t, the film will help you to see why, but also introduce you to the inn’s quirky cast of characters, led by chef Patrick O’Connell.
O’Connell, known to some as the “Pope of American Cuisine,” started out 42 years ago with a catering company in an abandoned gas station and turned his dream into the luxurious property guests now visit in the tiny town of Washington.
The documentary first aired earlier this year and received an extremely positive review from the Wall Street Journal‘s television critic, John Anderson. He called the film “a delicious look at the high price of excellence.”
