This year’s RAMMY finalists were announced at the Hamilton last night. Virginia was recognized in three big awards: Trummer’s on Main for Formal Fine Dining Restaurant, Tarver King of The Restaurant at Patowmack Farm for Chef of the Year and Requin, the French-Mediterranean concept by chef Jennifer Carroll and Mike Isabella, for New Restaurant.

“I’m just so floored to be here … we were only supposed to be a three-month pop-up,” says Carroll, who presented attendees with a smoked Caribbean sutchi (white fish farmed in the Dominican Republic) rillettes on a bearnaise-spiced waffle chip.

Other NoVA nods include: Favorite Gathering Place of the Year: The Front Porch at Evening Star Cafe; Upscale Brunch of the Year: The Restaurant at Patowmack Farm; Favorite Fast Bites of the Year: Chase the Submarine, Taco Bamba Taqueria; Beer Program of the Year: B Side; and Regional Food and Beverage Producer of the Year: Logan Sausage.

The full list of the finalists are listed here.

The 35th RAMMY Awards Gala will take place on Sunday, July 30, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Get your tickets here.
