Barley Mac
Leasing issues caused this Rosslyn staple to permanently close after 10 years. Known for its American tavern fare, Barley Mac served its final guests on March 9. 1600 Wilson Blvd., Arlington
Billikens Smokehouse
This top barbecue spot has announced its closing after a decade. But don’t worry, you still have time for a platter of tender ribs before the smokehouse closes on November 26. After closing, the restaurant hopes to focus on growing its catering operation. 623 Caroline St., Fredericksburg
Buffalo Wild Wings
There’s one less Buffalo Wild Wings in Northern Virginia after the national chain closed its Crystal City location after 15 years. While there are no more locations in Arlington, the restaurant still operates 13 locations throughout NoVA. 2450 Crystal Dr., Arlington
Downtown Saloon
Downtown Leesburg is losing its biker bar. The Downtown Saloon, which opened in 2001, will be converted into an Irish pub, with plans to open this fall. Fans of the Saloon can visit through the end of June. 7 N. King St., Leesburg
Glory Days Grill
The Merrifield location suffered a kitchen fire during the summer of 2025, which caused a temporary closure to become permanent in February. This Glory Days location operated for 24 years. 3059 Nutley St., Fairfax

Heritage Brewing Co.
Fans of this Manassas brewery poured one out after Heritage announced it was closing after 12 years. The veteran-owned-and-operated microbrewery welcomed customers for a final drink in March. 9436 Center Point Ln., Manassas
Kafe Leopold
Georgetown’s Kafe Leopold closed up shop this month. Opening in 2005, the Austrian bistro operated for 21 years before the restaurant’s partners decided to part ways, according to Washington Business Journal. 3315 Cady’s Alley NW, Washington, DC
Mamma Lucia
This Fair City Mall staple closed in May. Mamma Lucia served hot, cheesy slices for 39 years. The owner of the pizzeria decided to close the eatery due to health reasons. 9650 Main St., Fairfax
Original Pancake House
This spring, Virginia’s only location of the Original Pancake House closed its doors. The restaurant officially closed on May 25 after 15 years in service. 7395 Lee Hwy., Falls Church
The Prime Rib
For five decades, The Prime Rib was a go-to spot for many steak lovers. It served its final meal on June 17. The restaurant was unable to renew its lease as the landlord wanted to go in a different direction, according to Washington Business Journal. 2020 K St. NW, Washington, DC

Rhodeside Grill
This Arlington bar held its last call in February. Open for nearly 30 years, an upcoming redevelopment for the building caused Rhodeside to shut down the neighborhood spot. 1836 Wilson Blvd., Arlington
Thai Luang Restaurant
The family-run restaurant was in business for 34 years before closing its doors at the start of the year. The restaurant is now under new management and has since reopened as 246 Thai Street. 171 Elden St., Herndon
Thai Peppers
After opening in 1998, this Thai restaurant became a popular gathering place. Twenty-six years later, the owners have decided to retire. The younger generations of the family behind the Alexandria location will still be serving the same dishes in Bristow and Haymarket. 2018 Mount Vernon Ave., Alexandria
Tippy’s Taco House
Tippy’s Taco House has been a go-to for budget friendly Mexican food for 40 years. With rent costs increasing, the owner decided to close the Centreville location — serving its final customers on June 14, according to FFX Now. 14119 St. Germain Dr., Centreville
