As we welcome new restaurants to NoVA’s food and drink scene, food and drink lovers also have to say goodbye to beloved restaurants and breweries. From rooftop bars and restaurants to fan-favorite cafés and breweries, these are the restaurants that have closed over the last three months.
Arlington Beer Garden and Clarendon 54
These two Arlington establishments have closed with construction on a new hotel and apartment building starting in Clarendon, according to ARLnow. 3217 10th St. N., Arlington; 3200 Wilson Blvd., Arlington
Bahama Breeze
Back in February, Bahama Breeze announced that all of its remaining restaurants would be closed by April 5. That includes NoVA’s last remaining outpost of the Caribbean-inspired restaurant in Woodbridge. 2714 Potomac Mills Cir., Woodbridge
Banditos Bar + Kitchen
The Mexican restaurant located near George Mason University announced it would be closing on March 17. That leaves one remaining Banditos location in Northern Virginia – in National Landing – and three other locations in Maryland. 10621 Braddock Rd., Fairfax
Barley Mac
March 9 was the last day to dine at Barley Mac’s Rosslyn location. After 10 years, the owner stated that leasing difficulties were the reason for the closure, according to ARLnow. 1600 Wilson Blvd., Ste. 100, Arlington

Bilstad’s Beignets
The beignet-focused cafe closed its doors on May 3. The owners decided to close due to the lease coming to an end at the end of the year. 20937 Ashburn Rd., Ste. 150, Ashburn
Bluefish Bistro
The sushi restaurant has served its final customer after nearly three years in business, according to ARLnow. The owners did not provide a reason as to why the eatery was closing. 950 S. George Mason Dr., Arlington
Cedar Run Brewery
Nokesville’s oldest brewery has announced its final day of service will be May 31. Spend the last few weekends enjoying live music with one of your favorite pours in hand. 12801 Hazelwood Dr., Nokesville
Chopathi India Kitchen
After more than a decade at Goose Creek Village, this Indian restaurant is now closed. An eviction noticed was placed on the door, according to The Burn. 42840 Creek View Plz., Ste. 100, Ashburn
Duck Donuts
Duck Donuts fans in Loudoun County have to drive a little farther to get their sweet fix now that the chain’s Ashburn location is closed. The closing comes just two years after opening, according to The Burn. 43150 Broadlands Center Plz., Ste. 156, Ashburn

Le Bistro
Chef Roberto Donna and his wife, Nancy Sabbagh Donna, announced they had sold the French restaurant just two and a half years after opening. A new concept, Sheeba Restaurant, is set to take over the space. 111 Church St. NW, Ste. 101, Vienna
Logan’s Roadhouse
The steakhouse is no longer serving in NoVA. The restaurant closed its Fredericksburg location after failing to pay its rent, according to the Fredericksburg Free Press. 3106 Spotsylvania Mall Dr., Fredericksburg
MacMillan Spirit House
The spirit focused bar and restaurant closed due to a legal battle with the building’s landlord over rent, according to ALXnow. Its sister restaurant, The MacMillan Whisky Room, is still open at Mosaic District. 500 Montgomery St., Alexandria
Mama Lucia
After nearly 39 years in business, Mama Lucia at Fair City Mall served its last slice on May 3. The owner is stepping away from the business due to health issues. 9650 Main St., Fairfax

Mochinut
The Village at Leesburg shopping center is now without a doughnut shop after Mochinut closed in April after four years in business, according to The Burn. 1604 Village Market Blvd. SE, Ste. 120, Leesburg
Mod Pizza
May 31 will be the last day to visit Mod Pizza at Greenbriar Town Center before it closes. According to FFXnow, the landlord decided not to renew the fast-casual restaurant’s lease. 13061 Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy., Ste. S, Fairfax

Roadhouse Momo & Grill
The Ashburn restaurant has closed its doors — but don’t worry, because it’s not for good. Roadhouse Momo has plans to relocate, though no new location has been announced yet. 44050 Ashburn Shopping Plz., Ste. 151, Ashburn

Rooftop Recess
Less than one year after opening, Arlington’s Rooftop Recess has shuttered. A new restaurant and event space is set to take over the rooftop bar and restaurant, according to ARLnow. 2424 Wilson Blvd., Arlington
Schmidt’s BBQ
The restaurant may be listed as temporarily closed, but we’ve been told that the owners don’t plan on reopening the barbecue spot. 14 Loudoun St. SE, Leesburg
Sweetgreen
Crystal City residents no longer have a go-to salad spot now that Sweet Green on Crystal Drive closed more than a decade after opening, according to ARLnow. There are four other locations in Arlington that remain open. 2022 Crystal Dr., Arlington
Taco Chinoz + Bar
Increasing rent and food cost caused this Mexican and Korean fusion restaurant to close in April. Taco Chinoz is still operating three other locations in Alexandria, Centreville, and Sterling. 8694 Liberia Ave., Manassas
The Board Room
Arlington’s game bar–brewery combo closed its doors at the end of April, citing high rent and labor costs, according to ARLnow. 925 N. Garfield St., Arlington

Whino
The Arlington restaurant and bar held a farewell party on May 1 and 2 before closing for good. The owners don’t have plans to reenter the culinary space soon, according to ARLnow. 4238 Wilson Blvd., Second Floor, Arlington
Wilson Hardware
With the opening of Boulevard also comes the closing of Wilson Hardware. The popular bar had announced it was temporarily closing for renovations in January before the new concept was announced. 2915 Wilson Blvd., Arlington

Valletta Port
There’s one less Italian restaurant in Old Town Alexandria. Valletta Port, which opened in November 2024, abruptly closed after updating their website to permanently closed, according to ALXnow. 682 N. Saint Asaph St., Alexandria
