Say Cheers to Dry January at These 6 Loudoun County Destinations

These wineries and breweries offer tasty zero- and low-ABV options.

By Lulu Chang January 16, 2026 at 11:48 am

Many people have embraced the Dry January trend. But they still want to go out with friends, and they don’t want to compromise on taste.

“The shift toward low-ABV and non-alcoholic beverages is being driven by a mix of generational change, evolving health priorities, and most importantly, much better products. Guests are more intentional about when and why they drink. They aren’t necessarily abstaining, but they’re choosing alcohol-free or low-alcohol options in certain moments while still prioritizing social connection and experience,” says Hailey Zurschmeide, general manager at Bluemont Vineyard.

These six Loudoun County destinations offer tasty, low-ABV and zero-proof beverage options.

Flying Ace Farm

At this classic Loudoun farm brewery and distillery, several beers clock in under 5.5 percent ABV. You can grab a flight of four, six-ounce pours of options like the Run Wild IPA (a nonalcoholic option at less than 0.5 percent ABV) and other low ABV offerings like the Stormchaser Stout and High Flyin Hefeweizen. 40950 Flying Ace Ln., Lovettsville

 Honor Brewing

Honor Brewing makes a number of different nonalcoholic beers, as well as lower ABV options, which you can combine in a flight of four beers. Their Zero Hour offerings are nonalcoholic, and the team also offers a number of lighter beers that clock in under 5 percent ABV.  42604 Trade West Dr., Sterling

Bear Chase

Bear Chase serves lower ABV beers on tap, including Beer Merica at 4 percent ABV and Mr. Blonde and Kodiak Kölsch at 4.5 percent. They also offer a nonalcoholic slushy. 33665 Bear Chase Ln, Bluemont, VA

Wheatland Spring

This farm and brewery offers five beers under or right around 5 percent. 38506 John Wolford Rd., Waterford
