Eavesdrop Brewery Introduces a ‘No Beer Beer Fest’

Forget Oktoberfest — this one’s for the cider and mead lovers.

By Maggie Roth October 14, 2025 at 8:09 am

Eavesdrop Brewery is hosting a new kind of beer festival — one for people who would rather not have beer at all. The Manassas brewery’s No Beer Beer Fest, slated for October 18, focuses on ciders and meads rather than IPAs and stouts.

This is the brewery’s first year running the event, which was inspired by more and more customers ordering cider and mead in recent years. The event starts at 11 a.m. for early access passholders and noon for general admission. Each ticket comes with a 5-ounce tasting glass and 12 tasting tickets for all the ciders and meads on tap.

Featured meads include the Blueberry Spaceship Box from Superstition Meadery, a Sour Patch Kids–inspired mead from Funktastic Meads, and several fruity flavors from Honey & Hops.

On the cider side, there will be pours like the Pumpkin Head from Lost Boy Cider, a strawberry passionfruit pink guava from Castellum, and a Juicy Haze from Citizen Cider.

And, despite the event’s name, Eavesdrop — the winner of our 2025 NoVA Beer Wars — will be pouring its full tap list during the event.

Guests can also enjoy fire pits, live music from Say What Again, and food from Eugene’s Sausage & Fries.

Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door.
