8 Chains North Winery
This Waterford winery welcomes both kids and pups and boasts areas where children can play cornhole or quiet games brought from home and a dedicated park where dogs can roam unleashed. Light fare is provided with tastings, and because the winery allows outside food, the whole family can have a bite during an outdoor picnic. 868 Estate Vineyards
The winery is kid- and dog-friendly, but dogs must be well-behaved and on leashes. In addition to the light fare provided with tastings, the on-site restaurant and its locally sourced dishes provide an excellent family meal. Barns at Hamilton Station Vineyards
The Hamilton-based winery welcomes families and their four-legged companions, but dogs must be on a leash at all times and aren’t permitted indoors. In addition to tastings for those 21 and older, the whole family can go on a tour of the winery or stop by for one of the Barns’ special events with food vendors and live music. With live music every Saturday and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. and painting classes from June 25 to Aug. 27, Cana Vineyards offers activities both parents and kids will enjoy. Dry Mill Vineyards
This converted horse stable maintains much of its original structure and wood, making it a beautiful and fascinating destination for not only adults but children, too. Soda and water are provided for guests 21 years old and younger, and families can bring outside food for picnics on the patio or in the picnic areas.
