Early Father’s Day Celebration
June 9
Watch the Potomac Nationals take on the Lynchburg Hillcats. The first 1,000 fans will receive a free Father’s Day grill apron. // Northwest Federal Field at Pfitzner Stadium: 7 County Complex Court; $12-$15

Annual Father’s Day Festival
June 15, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Celebrate Dad at the eighth annual Father’s Day Festival with events for the whole family. Enjoy distillery tours, tastings and the annual barrel regatta contest. // A. Smith Bowman Distillery: 1 Bowman Drive, Fredericksburg; free

Run with Dad 5K
June 16, 8 a.m.

Father’s Day Antique Car Show
June 16, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Father’s Day Music Festival, BBQ & Beer
June 16, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Father’s Day Rose Remembrance
June 16, 10 a.m. to noon
WWI veteran family members are encouraged to sponsor one or more roses to be placed at the Vietnam Memorial on Father’s Day, honoring those who were killed in action, missing in action/prisoners of war or those who later died as a result of their service. // Vietnam Veterans Memorial: 5 Henry Bacon Drive NW, Washington, DC; free

Father’s Day in Historic Alexandria
June 16, Times vary
The Friendship Firehouse Museum, Gadsby’s Tavern Museum and the Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum will offer free admission to dads and give them the opportunity to peruse the grounds of America’s Founding Fathers for the day. // Multiple locations in Alexandria; free

Stagecoach: Father’s Day Screening
June 16, 2 p.m.
An afternoon of grit, glory and stiff drinks is in store at the Alamo Drafthouse on Father’s Day. RHOLC Father’s Day Family Picnic
June 16, noon to 4 p.m.

Father’s Day BBQ, Beer & Bourbon
