Whether your kids are interested in the performing arts, or painting canvases, these camps in NoVA will give them the summer of a lifetime.

Acting for Young Peopleo Summer Acting Camp at the Mason Community Arts Academy
Acting styles, theories and techniques will be explored during themed weeks, which this year include Enchanted Tales, Sci-Fi and Superheroes and Under the Big Top.
Ages: 5-18 years old

Culinaria Cooking School Summer Camp
Kids meet mornings and teens in the afternoon to learn knife skills and food safety while preparing (and eating!) meals each day.
Ages: 9-16 years old

Mount Vernon Community Children’s Theatre
Instructors and campers work together each week to stage a performance that includes original stories and silly versions of pop songs for themes like Musical for Theater on the High Seas.

Notes N’ Beats Music and Art Summer Camp
One bonus to this music and
arts camp is that it partners with a STEM camp, so campers can also choose science and engineering units.

NoVA Writing Project Student Summer Institute
Developed for those who enjoy putting words to paper, budding writers can use this camp to hone their skills and share their work while developing personal writing styles.

Robinson Drama Camps sponsored by the Rambunctious Theater Company
Campers get to take advantage of the Robinson Secondary School’s drama department’s professional tech and sound equipment, wardrobe and props to create a stage-worthy play at this popular drama-based summer camp.
Ages: K-9th grade

The Art League Summer Art Camps
This camp goes beyond crafts and delves into the foundation of fine arts, including photography, painting, ceramics, fiber arts and even a claymation movie camp.

The Little Theatre of Alexandria Summer Camps
This Old Town favorite has been teaching local kids the ins and outs of theater arts and on-stage fun for more than 10 years.

The Pickwick Players Summer Drama Camp
Kids learn the ins and outs of theater—everything from stage presence, movement and stage direction, to behind-the-scenes skills, like helping with props, costumes and the set.

Tiny Dancers Summer Camp
These weeklong camps involve three hours of dancing, crafts, a snack, a book and a dress-up performance every day, with morning and afternoon sessions available.

Traveling Players Summer Camp
Bus transportation is included in the fee for this camp, which thoughtfully marries intensive acting instruction with an appreciation for the great outdoors.
