Voters in Northern Virginia hit the polls Tuesday to flex their political muscles in the 2023 primary and make sure their voices were heard ahead of November’s general election.
Not all races were called by 1 a.m. Wednesday, though a trio of Democratic commonwealth’s attorneys claimed victory: Parisa Dehghani-Tafti (Arlington County, Falls Church City), Steve Descano (Fairfax County), and Buta Biberaj (Loudoun County).
Winners are bolded and marked with * below. Races that don’t have a name bolded haven’t yet been called. The Virginia Department of Elections results page is linked by county. In some cases, the race has been called by The Associated Press and is noted as such.
