Woodbridge’s Shaboozey to Be Featured in Super Bowl Commercial

The country singer is collaborating with Nerds, one of his favorite candies, for the big game.

The Washington Commanders didn’t make it to the Super Bowl this year, but local viewers still have something to look forward to. Country artist and Woodbridge native Shaboozey will be gracing TVs with a commercial during the big game.

The artist teased the upcoming spot with a collaboration post on Instagram on Tuesday morning.

In the teaser, Shaboozey starts snacking on a bag of Nerds Gummy Clusters and an old-time radio starts to play as the clusters appear on the side of the radio. The Nerds mascot pops up onto Shaboozey’s guitar, transforming it into a Nerds-covered version. It ends with Nerds’ tagline “Unleash Your Senses” and the location and date of Super Bowl LIX.

February is shaping up to be a big month for Shaboozey. This weekend, the star singer is up for five Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist and Song of the Year for “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”

The hit single has been all over the airwaves the past year. In less than 10 months, it has amassed more than 1.071 billion streams on Spotify, making it the platform’s third most-streamed song in the U.S. in 2024. Shaboozey also tied the Billboard Hot 100 record for spending 19 weeks at No. 1.
