The Grinch is taking over Gaylord National Resort this holiday season. The resort’s annual ICE! attraction will bring Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! to life from November 14 through January 3, 2027.
Inside the icy attraction, guests will journey through scenes including the Grinch’s mountaintop hideaway and the streets of Who-ville. The display is crafted from 6,700 blocks of hand-carved ice, totaling 2 million pounds.
It’s crafted into iconic holiday scenes by a team of 30 artisans from Harbin, China. Artists use colorful ice, two-story ice slides, and LED lights to create a vibrant exhibit.

In the 9-degree space, visitors will find indoor snow tubing, the Christmas Village, photos with Santa, storytelling, a laser light show, an oversized gingerbread display, and more. Guests can try seasonal cocktails, holiday dining, and festive spa treatments throughout the season.
New additions this year include a live show about Jack Frost, The Grinch’s Wonderful Awful Idea Scavenger Hunt, and holiday pastry decorating classes. Visitors can also enjoy the Grinch’s Who-Ville Holiday Tea, complete with storytelling and appearances by the Grinch and Max.
Early-bird tickets are on sale now through August 10. Passes start at $41; kids under 3 are free with a paid adult ticket. 201 Waterfront St., National Harbor, Maryland
