Families can embrace their inner superheroes at Gaylord National Resort this summer. On Fridays and Saturdays from May 22 through September 6, the hotel will offer exclusive superhero activities, dining, and entertainment. Special hotel packages include superhero capes and activity booklets.

“Super Hero Summer builds on Gaylord National’s entertainment legacy by delivering interactive adventures, spectacular shows, and unique experiences,” Dan McKeon, area general manager at Gaylord National Resort, said in a release. “It’s the only place in the Capital Region where families can experience this level of immersive summer fun.”

The adventure beings at check-in. Guests are given a DC Super Hero badge and a checklist of challenges to complete across the resort during their visit. Special programming includes a Battle for Justice light show and a scavenger hunt.

The DC Super Hero Academy Live Show allows guests to jump into the action by solving puzzles and creating an interactive personal adventure. The event also includes surprise superhero appearances.

At the resort’s pool, guests can join in the DC Super Hero Splash, which includes games, trivia, and a DJ. Families can also float in the pool later in the evening for DC Movie Night and enjoy meals from a special superhero-themed menu. 201 Waterfront St., National Harbor, Maryland
