Duke’s Grocery Launching Burger Concept in National Landing

The new location will feature kiosk ordering and a smaller menu.

DC-based restaurant Duke’s Grocery, a London-inspired gastropub, has announced that it will launch a new fast-casual concept in Northern Virginia. Duke’s Burgers will open at Water Park in National Landing this summer.

Duke’s Burgers will feature kiosk ordering and a smaller menu than its full-service counterparts. However, each menu item will still be made to order. The goal is “quick service without sacrificing service,” according to a release.

The new concept will be centered around Duke’s signature “Proper Burger,” an angus burger stacked with gouda and red onions. It was named the Best Burger by Washington City Paper for 10 years in a row.

The kiosk will also offer wagyu and Impossible burgers, fish and chips, wings, and sandwiches. Some of the menu items will be exclusive to this location.

Duke’s Grocery has three locations in Washington, DC, and one location in Maryland. Duke’s Burgers will be its first Virginia outpost.

“We’ve been looking for the right opportunity to bring Duke’s into Virginia, and we’re excited to finally make it happen in National Landing,” said managing partner Daniel Kramer. “Duke’s Burgers keeps the focus on what we’re best known for, with a few surprises up our sleeves, in a format that’s quicker and more flexible for the neighborhood around Water Park.”

The concept doesn’t have an exact opening date, but it’s expected to launch “in the coming weeks.” Adult beverages will be introduced shortly after opening, according to the release.
