Ever wanted to jump into the world created by renowned author J.R.R. Tolkien? Now’s your chance. Book a reservation at Georgetown’s La Bohème to experience one of its most popular themed dinner experiences.

Through October, the modern American restaurant is taking foodies on a culinary journey by bringing the author’s beloved books to life with a limited four- and six-course prix-fixe menus.

The menu is full of book references, like the Of Herbs & Stewed Rabbit, a braised rabbit leg served with thumbelina carrots, pearl onions, crispy carrot tops, and rabbit jus. Or the Po-Tay-Toes, a layered potato mille feuille with garlic potato custard, buttermilk dill emulsion, and smoked Trout Roe.

Created by executive chef Jenn Castaneda-Jones, the menu features more than a dozen Tolkien-inspired eats. Guests are able to choose one dish from each category, which includes breakfast (cold starters), second breakfast (warm starters), supper, and second supper (desserts). Diners that select the six-course experience will be able to choose two supper dishes.

The four-course experience is $99 and the six-course experience is $135. Diners also have the option to add a wine or cocktail pairing. The four-course wine pairing is $55 and the cocktail pairing is $65; the six-course wine pairing is $85 and cocktail pairing is $95.

La Bohème’s Tolkien experience is already booked through August. Reservations are currently available from September 1 to October 10. 2622 P St. NW, Washington, DC
