Whether you’re looking to dress as a cartoon dog, Buddy the Elf, or a famous witch or wizard, the Fredericksburg Nationals have you covered with theme nights every Saturday for the rest of the summer.
Eras Night
July 19
It feels like the perfect night to watch a baseball game! Grab your cardigans and your friendship bracelets and get ready to sing your heart out to all your favorite Taylor Swift hits while the FredNats take on the Lynchburg Hillcats. Stick around after the game to watch “sparks fly” in the post-game firework show.
Elf Night
July 26
The best way to spread Christmas cheer (even in the summertime) is getting tickets for the Elf Night game. Following a pre-game parade to celebrate the Gus’ Reading Rookies participants, the FredNats players and coaches will don Elf-themed jerseys. Each jersey will be signed and auctioned off to fans after the game ends. Be sure to show up early; the first 1,000 fans to enter the stadium will get a free snow globe mug.
Harry Potter Night
August 16
“I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.” Who needs a Hogwarts letter when you can experience the magic of baseball? Get to the stadium early for a chance to snag a Harry Potter house jersey to match the players and coaches on the field. Each of the players’ jerseys will be signed after the game and can be purchased by fans via auction.
Bluey Night
August 23
Wackadoo! Bluey is coming to Virginia Credit Union Stadium. Come dressed as your favorite cheeky character from the show and cheer on the FredNats as they duke it out against the Fayetteville Woodpeckers.
Cancer Awareness Night
September 6
Come out to support Mary Washington Healthcare Foundation to help families in need. Players and coaches will wear special cancer-awareness jerseys that they’ll sign and auction off to fans. The proceeds from the auction will benefit the Mary Washington Healthcare Foundation. Don’t miss the post-game fireworks!
In addition to the theme nights, the FredNats offer weekly specials like $2 Tuesdays (with $2 tickets and $2 tacos), Thirsty Thursdays (with $2 and $5 drink specials), and Firework Fridays.
Tickets start at $10, with free admission for kids under 2.
