Caps Rock The Wharf with Family-Friendly Events Through February

Fire up your competitive spirit at the Capitals-themed winter festival at The Wharf in Washington, DC.

By Riane Oquiza January 11, 2024 at 12:32 pm

Washington Capitals fans, celebrate the season by going to the Capitals Winter at Camp Wharf, now open every Friday through Sunday through February 25.

The Wharf is decked out in Capitals-themed décor. Camp Wharf is open from 6–11 p.m. Fridays, from 3–11 p.m. Saturdays, and 3–10 p.m. Sundays. Special event hours may vary.

Bring your family and friends to enjoy a multitude of food options at the new Camp WAFF (Washington Area Fuel Fund). If you want a classic s’more, you can get one for $4.75 or a four-pack for $16.50. Hot apple cider, bottled water, and other beverages are also available for purchase. Guests can donate to help DC neighborhoods heat their home this winter.

A treasure trove of activities also awaits fans at The Wharf Ice Rink on Transit Pier. There will be two Rock the Rink events from noon–4 p.m. on Sunday, January 14 and from 6–10 p.m. on Saturday, February 17. Fans can enjoy ice skating, DJ music, Caps gear giveaways, and more.

Prepare to show your Caps pride as the team takes on the New York Rangers and Montreal Canadiens at 1 p.m. on January 14 and at 7 p.m. on February 17, respectively. The away-games will be televised during a viewing party at the Caps Cantina Bar on Transit Pier.

Throughout the festival, hockey fans who wear Capitals gear receive $5 off admission to The Wharf Ice Rink. It will be a Capitals fest, from the rink panels to the ice resurfacer, so suit up so you don’t stick out.
