Mon Ami Gabi in Reston to Close Its Doors

The popular French restaurant announced that it will close at the end of the year.

Reston Town Center’s French bistro Mon Ami Gabi will close its doors at the end of 2023, the company announced on Monday in an email to customers, citing the end of its lease.

The final day of service will be December 31. It will remain open for dine-in, carryout, and delivery until that time.

“We hope to make the most out of these last few months with you and thank you for 15 years of memories,” a statement from the restaurant said.

The restaurant is located at 11950 Democracy Dr. and has been part of Reston Town Center for 15 years.

The restaurant is led by executive chef Jason Mayle, who previously worked at the Oxon Hill, Maryland, Italian restaurant Bond 45. Mon Ami Gabi offers lunch, brunch, and dinner, with a menu that focuses on French bistro classics such as steak frites (its menu offers five variations) and beef Bourguignon. Its signature dish, Roast Chicken a La Grand-Mère, is a crispy free range half chicken with bacon and sautéed mushrooms.

This is one of four Mon Ami Gabi locations. There are locations in Chicago, Las Vegas, and Bethesda, Maryland. Mon Ami Gabi is run by Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants, a Chicago-based restaurant group that manages over 60 brands and 130 restaurants.
