An individual wanted in connection with the October 30 shooting death of a man in the Bailey’s Crossroads area turned himself in over the weekend, Fairfax County Police announced.
Phil Asare Darkwah, 28, was identified shortly after the incident as one of three men seen running from a third story apartment in Skyline Towers on the 5500 block of Seminary Road, where Ahmed Hemoh, 26, was discovered with fatal gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Building surveillance footage showed three men leaving the apartment approximately 15 minutes after the shooting. All three individuals have since been identified and are believed to be known to one another, police said, and the incident does not appear to be random.
After turning himself in, Darkwah was transported to an area adult detention center, where he is currently being held without bond. He is facing charges of second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and felony possession of a firearm, Fairfax County Police announced.
The remaining suspects have yet to be named or apprehended.
“Turn yourself in,” Fairfax County Police Lt. James Curry said in a statement following the Oct. 30 incident. “It’s a matter of time before we know who you are, and it’s a matter of time before you’re in custody.”
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation.
