The vice president will soon become a Loudoun County resident. JD Vance has reportedly leased part of Middleburg’s Wolver Hill Farm. His landlord? JK Moving Services CEO Chuck Kuhn.
The Vances will lease two of Wolver Hill Farm’s four residences and will have partial access to the farm, Washington Business Journal reported. The nearly 500-acre estate sits on the outskirts of Middleburg, near the Salamander Resort.
Wolver Hill LLC, a JK Land Holdings affiliate, acquired the property in 2020 for $8.5 million and placed it into conservation easement.
A source told NBC that the Vances were considering the property “to give their growing family the opportunity to enjoy nature and the great outdoors, just as the vice president and second lady experienced when they were growing up.” Usha Vance is expecting the couple’s fourth child in July.
The vice president previously lived in Alexandria’s Del Ray neighborhood; he sold that house when he took office last winter. The family has been living at the Naval Observatory in DC. Vance’s lawyer told CNN that the family will maintain a residence there.

Kuhn founded JK Moving Services more than 40 years ago. The company has provided moving services to several high-profile clients, including presidents.
Kuhn is also known for having put thousands of acres of land into conservation easement. And, he’s made headlines recently for selling several plots of land to data center developers.
