Valentine’s Day is a holiday known for its luxury, but we’ve never seen luxury priced quite like this before. This season, Gaylord National Resort in the National Harbor is offering a “Love Has No Limits” one-night package for $9,950. No, we didn’t accidentally add a zero in there.
Running until February 28, this opulent getaway is a one-night stay in one of the resort’s newly renovated suites, which includes a private balcony overlooking the resort’s 19-story garden atrium.
Your bank account might end up empty, but at least your stomach will be full. Guests will be enchanted with a six-course dining experience prepared by their very own personal chef. Enjoy cocktails and amuse-bouche before moving onto Chesapeake-inspired surf and Old Hickory turf. Then, end your culinary experience with artisanal cheeses, French macarons, and champagne, perfect for sipping as you overlook the harbor.
The dining’s not over until the next morning, when your chef will greet you with a continental breakfast-in-bed experience. Then there’s a late check-out, based on availability, and that’s about it.

If you’re not willing to shell out $10,000 for the above, there are still plenty of things to do for a National Harbor Valentine’s Day that’s a bit more budget-friendly.
Try out the Capital Wheel’s “Love is in the Air” package, available on Saturdays and Sundays until February 28 ($70 per couple). Guests can rise 180 feet above the National Harbor in a Ferris wheel while sipping and snacking on complimentary drinks and chocolates.
If adventure to new heights isn’t your style when it comes to romance, there are still some National Harbor restaurants’ prix fixe menus available at different times throughout February. Located in the heart of the harbor, Fiorella Italian Kitchen has a Valentine’s Day menu sure to satisfy Italian foodies ($110 per couple). Or try out Rosa Mexicano’s 5-course prix fixe menu to sample everything from shrimp ceviche to sugary churros ($125 per couple).
No one to celebrate with this Valentine’s Day? No worries. Bobby McKey’s Dueling Piano Bar is having a “Galentine’s Day” edition of its Bobby’s Boozy Brunch Show on February 13, complete with live music, comedy, a brunch buffet, and bottomless mimosas. Tickets are $45 to $70 per person.
