Women’s History Month, honored from March 1 to 31, is being propelled by DMV-based institutions and picking up speed across the United States.
According to the website, The Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, are all participating in this year’s celebration with commemorative exhibits, tours and more.
Find a handful of those honorary events below, and you’ll learn just how much women have had on United States’ history in over 200 years.
Women Fighting For A Better Community
Learn about local female heroes that had an exceptional impact on the history of Arlington. Women’s History Tours of Ben Lomond

Storied Women of the Civil War Era
Travel into the District to catch the stunning pictures of women from the Civil War era. The Women of Lee-Fendall House
See how women shaped the over 200-year history of the Lee-Fendall House with a special behind-the-scenes tour. Specialty Tour – A Toast to the Ladies!
