Graduate Annapolis
Brand new to the scene is Graduate Annapolis, which is currently finishing up renovations and booking reservations starting Oct. 6. As a brand, Graduate Hotels consists of a collection of hotels located in university-anchored towns across the United States and this fall, the quaint town of Annapolis will be home to the company’s newest addition. From Chesapeake Bay-inspired wallpaper to artwork featuring Navy terminology, the entire design reflects the community encompassing it, with specific odes to the city’s neighboring schools, the U.S. Naval Academy and St. John’s College. // 126 W. The Watergate Hotel
This fall, luxury Watergate Hotel in Washington, DC is offering two packages that make taking a staycation worth it. Continuing from the summer, the MD, VA & DC Staycation package gives local residents a 20% discount on stays from Thursday to Sunday, as well as daily breakfast throughout the selected weekend. New this season, the Fall Offer includes 15% off the best available rate and a $25 credit to any hotel amenities through Oct. 31. The Bristol Hotel
Located in Bristol, with views of the Appalachian Mountains, this boutique hotel celebrates the history of its surrounding landscape with a modern twist. Just over a year after its opening, The Bristol is making changes to its guest suites with the addition of turntables, courtesy of a new partnership with manufacturer Crosley Radio, which will officially debut on Sept. 17. As an ode to the music traditions that began in Bristol—with some of America’s first-ever country music songs recorded in the 1927 Bristol Sessions—travelers will be met with a record player and a curated vinyl library, featuring limited-edition albums from artists like Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson. // 510 Birthplace of Country Music Way, Bristol, Virginia; prices vary

The Tides Inn
This summer, Virginia’s Tides Inn debuted a casual, waterfront dining concept titled Fish Hawk Oyster Bar. In addition to classic dishes like the Chesapeake Bay crab cakes and peel-and-eat shrimp, the restaurant offers a rotating selection of more than a dozen types of oysters that can be raw, broiled or fried. Whether you are a hotel guest or a nearby local, all are welcome to try out the fresh seafood plucked right from the Chesapeake Bay and Rappahannock River, all while looking out on the views of Carter’s Creek. // 480 King Carter Drive, Irvington, Virginia; prices vary

Aloft Ocean City
When summer arrived, so did the addition of Aloft Ocean City to the Maryland beachside town, as part of Marriott International’s Aloft Hotels brand. The new concept offers 120 pet-friendly rooms, a fitness space, an indoor and outdoor pool, three dining and cocktail options and plenty of event space for visitors and locals alike. The Inn at Tusculum Farm
This past spring, the bed and breakfast site known as The Inn at Tusculum Farm debuted a third option for guests to choose from, referred to as The Farm House. While the building was originally built as the Griffith-Hutton House in the 1700s, it has since been refurbished to hold four suites on the property. From gas-lit fireplaces to small kitchenettes, each room has different design elements than the next. Plus, while on the property, guests are in walking distance to activities like horseback, vineyard and brewery tours and more. // 4601 Damascus Road, Laytonsville, Maryland; prices vary
