Planning a spontaneous weekend getaway can quickly become impossible. Calculating the length of the drive, figuring out where to board the pets and trying to find last year’s bathing suit somewhere underneath all of the miscellaneous winter clothes can turn a fun idea into a foiled plan.
Luckily, NoVA is only about a three-hour drive from Ocean City, Maryland, and the beach town has a recently opened pet-friendly hotel. As long as you can find your bikini or swim trunks, you’re good to go.
The waterfront hotel opened on May 2, and has a lengthy list of amenities. The property features 120 guest rooms with private balconies available, a fully equipped fitness space, an indoor and outdoor pool, comfortable common areas, two event spaces totaling 3,250 square feet and a poolside bar where guests can relax in the modern lounge or head to the patio to enjoy the view of Wight Bay.
Complimentary wireless internet access is available, as well as complimentary on-site parking and mid-afternoon check-in availability. Only one pet is permitted per room and can be a maximum of 40 pounds.
The hotel is centrally located in Ocean City, right off of Coastal Highway; a 10-minute drive from the boardwalk and in walking distance from plenty of restaurants and family-friendly activities.
