Earth Day Pollinator Garden Work Crew
April 22, 10 a.m.-noon
Bugs may get a bad rap from people that see them as only  scary, creepy-crawly things, but because of their positive impact on our environment, it’s important that we help them live their best life. You can do just that by helping prune and mulch the pollinator garden at Lake Anna State Park. Just bring yourself as gloves, shovels, mulch and water will be provided. // Lake Anna State Park: 6800 Lawyers Road, Spotsylvania

Earth Day 2018
April 22, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
This all-day event kicks off with a walk around Kane’s Creek and Eagle Spur Trails, accompanied by a lesson on the essential role that trees play in our lives and the lives of the other creatures we share the planet with. Around lunchtime, solar energy will provide the means to cook up a small meal, after which point attendees will make a “seed bomb” that they will then throw into the garden. // Mason Neck State Park: 7301 High Point Road, Lorton

Earth Day
April 22, 10 a.m.-11:30 p.m.

Earth Day with North Gate Vineyard
April 22, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

There’s also a Monarch Butterfly Waystation on the property for guests to check out. // North Gate Vineyard: 16031 Hillsboro Road, Purcellville

There will be a separate table with chances to make more kid-friendly creations. // Leesylvania State Park: 2001 Daniel K. Ludwig Drive, Woodbridge

Earth Day Celebration at Ellanor C. Lawrence Park
