Moms, dads and little ones can feed zoo animals and enjoy food, drinks and live entertainment this week.

Giraffe-toberfest
Every weekend in October

For $20 per person aged 3 and up, attendees will gain access to a pumpkin patch and kids zone (featuring bounce houses, a corn box and crafts) and will score one feed cup. Waffles the giraffe and other zoo friends will be in attendance. // Roer’s Zoofari: 1228 Hunter Mill Road, Vienna

Saint Ann Catholic School and Parish’s Annual Fall Family Festival
Oct. 7, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

At Saint Ann’s campus, there will be food, rides, bounce houses, face painting, games, raffles and a silent auction featuring local restaurants and organizations. Adults will also be able to spend some time in a beer garden with live entertainment at this free event. // Saint Ann Catholic School: 980 N. Frederick St., Arlington

Third Annual Columbia Pike Fall Festival
Oct. 7, 2-7 p.m.

There will be an array of wines from Twisted Vines, fall beers from William Jeffrey’s Tavern and food from Marble & Rye, The Celtic House and William Jeffrey’s Tavern, plus live music, a children’s area and pet area. Children under 11 are free, young adult (12-20) tickets are $10, and adult tickets (which require a 21+ ID) cost $20. // South Adams Street and Columbia Pike

BadWolf Brewing Annual Fall Festival
Oct. 7, 2-8 p.m.

Though most beer festivals cater to an adults-only crowd, this event will host both a chalk and coloring book station. Pizza, fries, barbecue and local beer will abound. Beer tickets cost $15 in advance or $20 at the door. // BadWolf BrewHouse: 8420 Kao Circle, Manassas

Columbus Day with the Rocknoceros
Oct. 9, 10 a.m.

Moms, dads and children can dance and sing the morning away with the Rocknoceros this Columbus Day. Celebrating 10 years together, the Rocknoceros just released a record called Plymouth Rockers. // Jammin Java: 227 Maple Ave. E., Vienna

Children’s Fall Flea Market
Oct. 14, 9 a.m.-noon

Admission to this event, which allows junior merchants to sell gently used toys, books, games, videos and other kid-friendly items, is a simple donation of one nonperishable food item.
