If you find yourself in town during the latter half of July (12-29), there is a bounty of art to take in during the Capital Fringe Festival, which has been dubbed “one part self-producing performing arts festival, one part curated performing arts festival.” Venues throughout the area host artists across a range of mediums. Performances and showcases are still being scheduled, so check the website for all last-minute pop-up demonstrations. Here’s a quick breakdown of what you can expect:

  • 100+ productions
  • 700 individual performances
  • 5,000 artists
  • 30,000+ patrons each year
