For the Love of It 10K
Grab your loved ones and challenge yourself with this 10K race. Participants who preregister for the event will receive a commemorative T-shirt to celebrate the day. This race wraps up with Valentine’s Day treats for runners to refuel after the 10K. // Feb. 4, 8 a.m., $35-$45, Reston

Sweethearts 4ever 4-Mile Run
This 4-mile run takes runners through Ferry Farm Trail and Pratt Park. The scenic race is mainly flat, so participants can easily compete in this Valentine’s-themed event. // Feb. 5, 10 a.m., $26-$35, Fredericksburg

Love the Run You’re With 5K
Bring the ones you love and join the 5K race in Old Town Alexandria. The course ends at the Shops at Pentagon Row, which provides the perfect location to relax after completing the race. // Feb. 12, 9 a.m., $35-$45, Alexandria
